Please , i need some help with my '87 Mercury 25 .

I need to adjust trigger (well trigger rod mainly) and throttle link rods but i simply don't know how long they need to be ... can anyone provide at least rough measurement of these two rods ?!

It's these two rods highlighted on the picture :

... also how do you adjust this additional screw on the throttle/shifter mechanism ?! :

"You have to time it with a ti

"You have to time it with a timing light. You'll see a row of white dots on the flywheel that line up with a mark on the recoil starter (on the right side).

Just did this on mine. You'll need a 12 volt car battery and jumper cables. Ground the battery to the outboard, then power the timing light off the battery. Piece of cake!
