"Crawling around the backside

"Crawling around the backside of my memory is the image of a little 4 stroke outboard I once had. I believe it was air cooled, not sure. It was light weight, and couldn't have been over 5 horsepower, if that. Clinton sticks in my mind, but so do a lot of other things!
I'm interested in learning about small 4 stroke motors out of the past. Antique, Vintage, Classic, or just plain "Old" .
Thanks! For all the years, and all the miles of waterways, and all the hours of tinkering represented here, I Thank You!"

I've been working on old e

I've been working on old engines since 76 and can only remember an adapter plate that let you join a lawnmower motor to an existing outboard. First 4 stroke to pass me was an old white honda with a single post on the double coil which ran everything ;ie the oil light and kill wire and points all went to this one post. Took weeks to figure out it was a positive ground set up.

Some body out here will have seen what you are talking about.
