where to check for clogged lin

where to check for clogged lines on my johnson 3hp? pulled water pump to change just want to check make sure lines are not clogged before putting back together. JW 19A Serial #B120207

run some water up into the tube with a hose.
that should flush it out pretty good

With the lower unit still off the motor you should get a strong flow of water down the leg if all is clear.

If you threw in a whole waterpump kit you should have a left over (rubber that was replaced) water tube guide that fit's into the cover. If you do hang onto that, it's great for making up a little rig. It will mount into a 99 cent garden hose repair end which can be connected to a garden hose.
