to cheak transmission fluid.do you warm them up first?
and do you screw them all the way in to cheak
the fluid,or do you just put the stick in and not screw it in?"

Screw them in to check? - NO

The owner's manuals say to shutoff the engine and "quickly check the fluid level". A trusted helper at the Key Switch helps for this.

Your owners manual should provide all these details.
