"I'm tryin' to find out just what needs the fixin'... My old MD2B will not shut down properly (I've been relegated to lifting the compression release levers). The throttle goes down to minimum, but turning any further and it starts speeding up again (i.e. it's not just a throttle adjustment issue).
Has anyone seen this problem before?
Are there any parts that might be worn out that would create this dilemma?
Any thoughts at all would be super-appreciated!

"I had the same problem on a MD22P last week and found that a wire that connects to the fuel pump had slipped off. When reconnected the shut-off worked fine. This only applies to an electronic "engine stop" ...not a mechanical "pull lever" system. If yours is the latter type, check that the lever is connected to fuel pump."
