When I throttle back towards idle the engine stalls. It always starts first time, at power it never falters, they have checked the injectors, ? the air valave, or the throttle position sender? Any similar problems hopefully with a solution would be fantastic.

4 strokes are "new" to most of us on this board.

If Merc techs can't figure it out you will probably have to find another shop.

You mention a fair bit of the fuel system and sensors were tested - what about the fuel pump(s) - has 2, mechanical and electric.

How old is the motor?

The MAP sensor can also cause a stall when you back off the throttle - did they test that?

In general - dirty oil or partly clogged oil filter will cause a stall on decileration (spelling? - when ya slow down)

Have the valves been adjusted? if more than 2 years old they should have at least been checked."
