"Hello all, I was underway Monday when I heard a bang? It almost sounded like I hit something, but I stopped & tilted engine up & saw nothing. Put it back down & happened again approx 3000 rpms. When going slower I didnt hear or feel it. But when I raised rpms it was there again. Any ideas what it might be? Shift cable out of adjustment?"

"if i was on the water,..thats what i would try,give it more pull,to forward....in the,..unfortunate scenario,...u may have gear prob's...ck lower unit oil,burnt,black,metal fragments.....have it cked/repaired,before u blow a hole,in the front,side of it....then,its gearcase,shell time...mooore money.."
