43 seems to be running hot

Just brought my 1986 4.3 Alpha one back to life.
Running on the muffs temp is at 200. Does that seem wright. Last season in the river i don't think it was that high. Is it because running on muffs? Thanks for your help."

Impeller was new last season, did not put on many hours.I did change exhaust boots last season.My guess risers are original.Do they need to be changed ?"
 
Get a laser thermal temp. gun

Get a laser thermal temp. gun and find out the location of the heat buildup. Turn the hose pressure to max.
