Removal of 280 Transom Shield

The "Latch Hooks" grab

The "Latch Hooks" grab onto a part called a "set pin". Some drive movement here is considered normal for this.

The latch performs two duties:

**It offers a hold down for reversing.
**It offers a "Break-a-way" in the event of an impact.

the movement is about 4mm Just for the measurement of it.
boy those exhaust pipe don`t like going back on
to think how much lifting twisting that chevy V8 around and sweating and swearing on or off pretty much the same pain.
looks like it`s ready for a test drive
Ric any other things to check like shift cable setting in gear and out?
