1979 Evinrude 35hp electric wiring

I have an Evinrude 35hp from 1979.
I don't have electric start and I don't need it.

But I want to have charging for the battery and a tachometer.
I have the rectifier ( I think that's correct word, my english is not perfect ) but I don't know how to connect it.

Do I need anything else?
Can I connect a tach and battery without the original cables on the outside of the engine?

"Do Your engine have 3 yellow cables coming out from under the fly-wheel or a 3-pin AC power outlet on port side of lower cover?
If so easy. Connect Yellow-to Yellow, Yellow/Blue to Yellow/Blue and Yellow/Gray to Yellow/Grey on the rectifier. Signal to Tach is from Yellow/Gray. Red from Rectifier to B+ battery, and ground from battery anywhere on engine block.
If You do not have the 3 yellow cables, You need to add a charging coil under the fly wheel."

Note that there should be a ro

Note that there should be a round hole in the 'shift bracket' on stb side where the rectifier fits.
