"I have a Crusader engine that is in a Blackfin Combi 25 I just bought that is giving me fits. It is a 5.7 MPI with a serial number of 610623 (shown on the bill of sale). It started to develop a habit of stalling for no good reason at random times, and then refused to even start up. My mechanic believes he has pinpointed the problem to the ECM, although he is reluctant to slap a new one in until he can understand what caused the original one to fail.
Two questions: how do I find out more about this engine based on its serial number, and
What is a source for a new ECM...does Crusader sell them for what we believe is a 7-year old motor?
