this engine only had 28 hours on it. the above photograph was taken only 10 minutes into this season's shake down run. we took it to our mechanic friend who noted that the freeze plug was blown but was hopeful as he had it 'purring like a kitten'. my parents loaned the boat to us to use for the summer and then sell for them. they let it sit in the water for a year and then pulled it out and did not properly winterize it or store it ~ this winter they experienced record lows ~ days in a row below 20'F; it is kind of sad i think. assuming that there was a hairline crack in the engine block that opened up when underway, does anyone know if we could find a rebuilt engine that would work in the boat."
