Lightendog has just told me the Steering fork hole in shield - size is 1.5 inches

Mick, that's good news so long as your Collar Steering Fork is the larger 1.5" in diameter. If not, maybe you could ask if he (lightendog) can sell you a fork and spindle arm to match.
The fork can be spendy, but the spindle arms are in the dime-a-dozen range.
The existing helmet will interchange.

Quite honestly, any of the 250 thru 275 main suspension forks will work for you.
(I had not realized that this part was broken also!)
