I have a 1989 DT-100. The tilt switch on the motor works fine. However using the tilt switch on the control handle it goes up but not down. I do not hear anything at the motor when I try it. I recently had a mechanic do some re-wiring under the console. Unfortunately I can't get him to the boat now easily to look at it. I see two wires coming from the sfiter from underneath. Are these the up and downs? can I pull them off and try reversing them to see if I have a bad switch?
