"can someone help me locate the part that you use to lock the motor up. I recently purchased a boat with a chrysler 45 horse it is model number 457h3p the pin that holds the motor up (or lets the motor down ) is all bent up? it doesnt look like the parts are original so i dont know how more to explain what i am looking for. not only is the pin bent, but the metal latch that has the chanel that the pin runs through is all bent up as well. i looked at where the pin runs through the bracket that holdsj the motor on and it looks to be threaded, but the threads look pretty stripped out? the bolt i took off had a nut holding it on and it was not screwed into the bracket, i think this is why it got so bent up??can anyone help me out here? i need the parts or some sort of diagram on how it used to be. thank you!!!
