Pressed out the upper crank bearing and called the manufacturer, Torrington. They said that it is a propretary bearing and is only available to OMC. can you believe that...... . anyway will a bearing assembly from a 1986 90HP work? can you tell me what years have the same bearing assembly?thank you "
 
I believe it. Maybe that OMC

I believe it. Maybe that OMC paid for the design and tooling etc to produce the bearing. A fairly common practice.

"Ed.... According to my books, that bearing is the same for a V/4, V/6, V/8 from 1979 to at least 1993.

It can be purchased (among other places no doubt) from the following company as "Upper Crank Bearing" #495 (has a small 4 after that number... if it were a degree mark, that small four would be 495°).
