Cylinder head gasket which way round

Just rebuilt the engin

Just rebuilt the engine 1995 Evenrude 115 V4

Its overheating, which way round should the cylinder head gaskets go on. There were two holes in the gasket which side of the cylinder should they go and should the be next to the top or bottom cylinder.

Overheating is caused by poor water circulation that can generally be traced to the water pump or thermostat."
