"Recently purchased a boat with a rebuilt Johnson 140 VRO engine. No owner's manual came with, and I have not been able to find the model # and have looked 'everywhere'. Where haven't I looked?

The model number should be on

The model number should be on a nameplate on the transom bracket. If it isn't there you should be able to see where it "was"...
