"When I flip the switch to make the sterndrive lower, all I get is a clicking sound. If I jump the lower trim post at the pump to a hot connection, the pump comes on and the stern unit lowers. Bad soleniod??? Is there 1 or 2 solenoids? The sterndrive raises just fine using the switch."

"Or bad connection to the solenoid, try jumping from the hot post at that bad solenoid to the other post, if it works then inside the solenoid is bad. If not then power to the solenoid isn't enough"
