"This morning I took my boat o

"This morning I took my boat out for the 1st time
this year to run it. It was cold (35f) after It started I got a continuous alarm sound. I did not
take notice if the oil light (red) was on. I
immedently shut off the motor and started it again. No alarm at all, oil level is correct. It
ran all day , no alarms after that. I started the boat at least a dozen times today no alarm.
The boat is 1 year old with 30 hrs tops on it.I did start the boat twice this spring with the garden hose no alarms.
What do you think ? thanks"
 
"Hard to tell without identify

"Hard to tell without identifying which alarm and which indicator light came on. However, one possibility is that there was some residual ice left in the water passages and what you heard was a water temperature warning. Once you shut it off, the heat in the engine melted the ice, clearing the passages. I've had that happen on my BF225. If alarm does not occur again, I wouldn't worry about it."
