"I have a 1992 T9-9EXHQ. The man that I bought it from said that the oil indicator light would glow green. No green glow. I have the engine mounted on a test tank, with the prop on, and cannot rev up above fast idle. Is this the reason for no glow? Is there a test to check the the light and the sending unit? Does the sending unit control the voltage the light? What is a safe voltage to us to check the light? I checked the mag and is working. Any help? Thanks Darby"

Is that what a DIP stick is for? Is there any one out there that has experience with this engine? Is there a test for the oil light and the sending unit? Any help is very welcome.
