"Hello to all, I was wanting to know what the highest output to the battery should be? I am getting up to 14-14.5 volts at wot and 13.5-14.0 volts at idle. The model # is J150GTLCUR. Two yrs. ago I replaced stator and rectitfier. (That cost me out the ying yang!!!!) I just don't want to burn any of this up again. Thank you all in advance and Happy Boating.. Oh by the way I am using an ACDelco voyger marine starting battery maint. free, if this makes a differance??"
 
that sounds about right.......

that sounds about right.........mine is a unregulated system and i run as high as 16-17v

if you are worried about an overcharge turn on some of your accessories to pull some of the juice from the batt.

"Jeff you have a regulated charging system...what destroys the regulator\rectifyier is loose battery cables and i was taught at OMC school never use the wing nuts on the battery terminals, change them to nuts and they will stay tight."
