24:1 ratio using air cooled chainsaw type oil. The funny thing is that the next year Tecumseh (the manufacturer of the motor on the outboard) recommended 32:1 TCW oil.
As for using unleaded fuel, go ahead. There is no reason I know of to ever use leaded fuel in a 2 cycle outboard engine.
Some parts are available still at Sears.

Thanks Wayne - very helpful and I appreciate it. Hopefully I can get it running again - it came out of my father in law's garage and hasn't run for a few years.

"Wayne - it's running again. My father-in-law says it's been 20 years. Rebuilt the carb, unclogged the lines and had to drill out the diaphragm. But it's running fine now. Thanx for your help."

I have a couple projects to work on this summer, including a 7.5 Ted Williams. I hope I have the same luck as you."

"Wayne, I pulled one more old outboard out of my father-in-law's garage - the brand is Blue Jet - very similar to the Sears/Ted Williams (Eska). Ever heard of it?"

"I'm not familiar with that. Even "The Old Outboard Book" says "it is somewhat of a mystery motor". It says 3 and 5hp versions were made from 1961 to 1963.

There is a video on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0Ki9hbEyZY that shows one.

It looks like a generic Eska type motor.

Ah... A bit more searching and it isn't as big of a mystery. Check out http://www.discount-marine-parts.com/ob_blue_jet.html
It is an Eska built motor. Does it have a prop, or does it have a jet thrust bottom end?"
