I have twin 318 Chryslers with

I have twin 318 Chryslers with 71c transmissions.

The starboard xsmn is no good.Is it possible to replace it with a port xsmn.

"I assume you mean with ANOTHER port transmission. If so, yes, but you'll have to reverse the oil pump.

"Just reversed mine and it was

"Just reversed mine and it was easier than expected. This is the way I did mine. Pull the transmission off. Pull the four bolts out of the front. Then tap on side of of wrench held up against side of ridge on pump. Mine rotated right around. There are two arrows on pump, you line up the arrow that points the way the engine turns with the appoximate top of the transmission lineing up the bolt holes. It is not a perfect 180 turn, but close. Put the four bolt in and torque them down. Marinepartsexpress.com has a download able tech manual on the transmission. It has the torque specs which I can't recall."

No Chitt about that Jeff to easy. complete rebuild kits are ava. for about 60 bucks parts. Very simple trains. Velvet 1 to 1
