I am putting a mariner 40 hp m

I am putting a mariner 40 hp magnum up for sale and am trying to determine what year it is and what it may be worth. It runs great.

While value can vary greatly due to a number of circumstances, if the motor is running well and is in decent cosmetic shape I would expect it to sell in the 1000-1500 dollar range (in my area).

That model was a great engine, but it is 18 years old and it is a 2 stroke, so depending where you are, there may not be much of a market for it..."
