"any suggestions for modifying the steering on a 72 johnson 85 hp. i just put a 6in set back trim tilt unit, and now my steering (a shaft at the end of the cable that attached to a small threaded bar on the outboard) does even come close to working, any suggestions on what should be done to have steering again! thanks"
