"I have oh about 16 of these motors we use for our Bumper boats. The issue is my water passages in the motors keep getting severely clogged with scale or calcium whatever you want to call it. we do use clorine in the boat pool, but have really kept a close eye on the acidity of the water the past two years hoping it would at least give us another year or two of use. Didn't help at all still just as bad . we are converting the pool to a saltwater pool to try and see if that will help and from what others have told me It will help alot.
so in the meantime i have to get more new motors and was wondering if anyone knows of a chemical or additive i can add to a trashcan full of normal tap water to let the boats run in and coat the internal water passages so they will not corrode before i get this new system installed. Or is this a lost cause.
