"Alarm goes off and temp. ligh

"Alarm goes off and temp. light is on ,it is full of oil and the water pump seems to be working.
Does any one have any ideas?"
 
In order of probabilities
1.

In order of probabilities
1. Thermostat not opening - replace
2. Water intake screens clogged/restricted-clean
3. Water pump impeller damaged/worn-inspect & replace
