2007 MARINE GENERATOR WONT STA

2007 MARINE GENERATOR WONT STAY RUNNING UNLESS I KEEP HOLDING THE "START" BUTTON. OR IF I GIVE THE WHITE WIRE GOING TO CONTROL UNIT TERMINAL# 4 BATTERY VOLTAGE. I HAVE THE RELAY SUSPECT ANY OTHER IDEAS?

"There is a emergency stop button on the unit close to the fuel filter, make sure it is in the correct position, I had a customer pay for me to switch it even though he had told me that he checked it.
If that is OK then it is most likely one of the shut downs. Before by-passing the low-oil pressure switch confirm that you actually have oil pressure. This can be done by using a static pressure gauge. By-pass each of the shut downs 1 at a time until you find the bad sensor.

"Before you do anything, disconnect the remote harness and run the unit from the engine switches, then disconnect the OP and temp wires and see if that makes a difference. Either one will cause it to go into shutdown mode. Also check all fuses."
