"i run my motor in brackish water. The newer motor flushers do not fit the water intake holes. Do they make a motor flusher to fit this model,and where can I buy it? I have just been using a large barrell filled with water to flush the motor out afer use....what is the best way to properly flush the motor after use in salt or brackish water?Thanks"

i have a '64 18hp and i use a 5 gal bucket and keep the water hose in hand to replenish the water as needed.
 
The barrel works just fine. M

The barrel works just fine. My mechanic has one fitted with a boat plug at the bottom so he can drain it easily after each use.
