Repowering a Marinette with a

Repowering a Marinette with a crate 318 lb. Are there deferences between marine and auto intake manifolds. Can I use a auto eldebrock and put the wedge in.

Hummm.... You'd need to compare the fittings on both to see if the water neck and etc. are compatible. The Edelbrock and spacer should go without a problem.

The edelbrock manifold will fit but the thermostat housing mount bolts are on a 45 degree angle to the engine centerline. This may force some mods to the housing and plumbing and the engine must be FWC.
What exactly did you mean when you said a "Crate 318"

"I ran into that thermostat issue too and it's easy enough to work around but since then I noticed the Weiand manifolds are straight across plus they were engineered by the same guy who did the Edelbrock performer series, unfortunately there imported casting...Model number 8007"
