i have a 1984 mercruiser 470 a

i have a 1984 mercruiser 470 and im gonna tune it up i have been looking at the magstar wires that overtons has but there a bit pricey compared to tungsten also the engine sticker says it came factory with champion plugs i guess what im asking is what brand of wires and plugs do you all recomend thanks steve

"Steve, get the Pertronic's conversion kit that Guy mentioned. I put it on my 1980 470 motor. Thing runs so much nicer, and is easy to install."
