Anyone have any experience wit

Anyone have any experience with the new 8.1L making whistling sounds as you throttle up at various RPM ranges? Crusader sent me a plate and gasket kit that they said would eliminate the problem at the throttle body flame arrestor area but all it did was move the whistle to a different RPM range. Thanks to everyone for the input.

"Usually that's the sound of a vacuum leak somewhere. If I'm correct, you can find out by spraying a can of ether about the intake with the motor idling. (Note: Be sure the hatches are open and the bilge blower is on!) If the motor gains rpm, ether is being drawn in at that point. If so, try to pinpoint exactly where so you'll know where to fix it.
