"228 in/lbs

but you need to know this:

tighten all bolts alternately and evenly in 3 rounds.

on the first round tighten to 1/2 total torque value, on the second round 3/4 total torque value, full torque final round...........same for the other head."

what exactly is inch pounds /t

what exactly is inch pounds /that does not read on my micro adjust torq wrench.is there some formula to convert that to ft lbs?

"How many inches in a foot?

"How many inches in a foot?

12...so, 12 inch lbs = 1 ft lb.
and 228 in/lbs = 19 ft lbs.

in/lbs / 12 = ft lbs."

"sorry i have in lb and ft l

"sorry i have in lb and ft lb torque wrenches .............i didnt think about not everyone having both.

in lb torque values are more accurate most of the time.............cheap "click" torque wrenchs all vary a little. the good ones , although can be more difficult to use, are the dial wrenches.....

DO NOT use your torque wrench to remove bolts. they do have reverse , but it is intended for rev thread torquing........not removal."

thats why i have both.

th

thats why i have both.

there are a lot of torque specs in inch pounds when you start dealing with aluminum.

take for instance most of your no.10 bolts are torqued to 25-35in lbs \which is 2-3ft lbs ---- a lot more accurate considering it is hard to get a half of a foot pound out of a "clicker".
