2007 DF-115 Four Stroke. Can the upper leg flush mount be used to start and flush engine or only flush using intakes on lower unit?

"No reason to start and run engine through any flush port. Bob connect your hose, turn on the water and it should flush the entire engine in approx 15-20 mins. If you want to run your engine use the ear muffs."
