"I'm looking at a used 2000 BF 90A...I have not seen it in person, but the description indicates that it will only run with the choke partially open. Does this sound like a carb rebuild issue, and how expensive might that become? Does this issue sound like a show stopper?
This is the first used outboard I am looking at, so I'm not sure what I can do (maintenance wise) on my own and what I will learn to do going forward...I'll probably take it to someone if I decide to get it..."
