"I have a 225 vmax on my lake and bay, and it pushes it around 82 mph. i also have 3 more engines in my shop. i want to build a motor to make some serious power, somewhere in the neighborhood of 280-300. i know it si possible, but im not sure how exactly. anyone have any tips. thanks"
 
With a conventional gearcase y

With a conventional gearcase you risk what is called blow out and trust me from someone who has raced and built tunnel hulls it wont be a pleasant experience.
 
i already have gearcase proble

i already have gearcase problems with my current vmax which was built by hydrotec 290hp. particularly bearings. but i am looking for a solution if u know of one. this is just a little project im wworking on and i have plenty of parts to expierment with
