"looking to replace my 1976 carter afb's and was wondering how i can locate the model number before I order a replacement. not at my boat for a few days but when i get there, is it stamped on the metal somewhere? maybe under the flame arrestor? any help would be appreciated."
 
If your looking at replacement

If your looking at replacement you don't really need to know what the model of the old on is. Just order the Edelbrock model for the small block 1409 or the big block version 1410. remember these are for the square bore intakes ( pre 86 and not the later Rochester spreadbore style )
Best price I know of is Jegs.com 335 and 329 ea. Now I have seen it less at a couple places but Jegs has been around for ever and I have bought from them myself..
