I have a 1995 40hp 4 cylinder

I have a 1995 40hp 4 cylinder 2 stroke Mercury with s/n 0G210469. I have been on a couple of sites looking for parts where I need s/n or model number. Where can I find the model number?

"Ron, most Merc's do not have a "model number". You may see them referred to as 40ELPT, which would be a 40 horse, electric start, long shaft, power trim - but not really a model number.

Your serial is all you should need if you are dealing with an authorized Merc parts dealer..."
