"i just rebuilt motor,put all back together started motor ran fine for 10-15 seconds shut off
restarted motor ran for 10 seconds backfired real
loud then died. cranked few more times didnt start but backfired a few more times any help
would be appreciated"

holders the red wire that comes out does it go
to starter relay,thats the only wire i wasnt
sure about.i checked static timing right on the
money. do i need to put timing light on it.
this is my first time to mess with outboard.
thanks for help."
