"Hello all, great forum! I recently purchased this motor with no manual, can anyone tell me what fuel/oil mixture it uses? Is it a fairly reliable model, and does it share its powerhead with any other hp models in the evinrude line? Thank you!"
 
5 6 and 8 hp models are all pr

5 6 and 8 hp models are all pretty similar and most parts are the same. The 8 hp has a different cylinder and crankcase to the 5 & 6 and a different carb.

Reference to the parts list at shop.evinrude.com will enable you to compare all the part numbers.
