I have installed a 1990 johnson 140hp outboard on a 1990 18ft Kencraft center console boat. The boat has a mecury binnacle control box. I have been told i can get control cables with mercury connections on one end and johnson connections on the other. Is this true. if so i can use the existing mercury box with the "special" different ended cables. i would appreciate your comments. Del 704-843-4835
