"Problem I had on my Searay was that it never opened enough on its own. Started fine when cold but flooded when warm. I had a lawnmower throttle cable that I slid back and forth, pulling choke off and on until replacing it($35?). I have a, never used, electric choke conversion for Rochester Quadrajet if you are interested.

That might be the answer.I wonder if it will fit.There might be a clearence issue with the electronic ignition bracket.How much for choke?

J C Whitney used to sell a universal electric choke conversion kit. Used it on an old RV on mine and it worked slick. Simple to hook up.
