"New to this site, I have a problem with the cork float on the sending unit on the tank. It doesn't float anymore, it as absorbed to much fuel over time and is not boyant anymore, I have taken the float out and it is drying out, I would like to reseal the cork with something to prevent the gas from soaking into it. I was thinking maybe a varnish? I have not been able to find a replacement cork, only the whole sending unit, Any ideas on what I should do and what I could use to reseal the cork? Thanks"
