"What would be the correct size and pitch propeller for a 1973 165HP OMC.
Currently there is a 14/18 prop on it.
How low or high a pitch can I safely put on there?
Can somebody clarify (or confirm) this for me?
If I put a 14/11 on there that would mean I could troll slower for fishing but might not get enough top speed. If i put a greater pitch 14/20 I get better topspeed but trolling slow will be impossible, also fast starts are slower with higher pitch. Is that about right?"
