1994 Force 2 cyclinder overheats at high speed

I took out the thermostat, but it still overheats at high speed."

I never heard of a pressure relief valve on any motor unless it was steam.
but I'm just a motor head.
did you ever run it with out water?
Hows the impeller (water pump)
look and see if its spitting out water when it warms up.
