I am trying to find a thermost
I am trying to find a thermostat for my 3.8 liter OMC 800. All of my sources are trying to sell me a thermostat for a closed system that is roughly half the size of the flange needed by the thermostat housing. I ran the boat yesterday with an auto thermostat (160 degF) but it does not seem to control the temp well. The engine ran from 160 to about 190 depending on speed and load. Any ideas on a source would be appreciated. GT
