I don't know what it is yet I haven't gotten out to my storage to trying what you guys have suggested...what you say about clamping off different vac lines until the noise goes away, I will try that...how many vac lines are there? And, aren't they pretty large hoses? Would needle nose pliers do the trick?"

"Do this: with the boat running at idle and making the audiable hissing noise, place a small rubber tube to your ear and use the other end to locate the source of the noise. Report back."

"Doing the rubber hose thing is a substitute for the "mechanic's stethoscope" I mentioned before and is available at most auto parts stores.

This motor only has a few vacuum lines, the PCV (maybe two) and the MAP sensor. I really can't think of any others."

"You guys are thinking far too hard, this engine runs an IAC Muffler in the throttle body, the part no is 35-863829 cost you around $2, will fix ur problem.
