"You could probably run a wire from the ignition key and ground the negative. Also, the feed pressure for the carbs should be 2-4 psi, so I don't think it would be wise to install a high-pressure pump."

"Typed out long explain and didn't post. Duh.lol. Low pressure, Clymer calls for 3 PSI so El is right on the money again. I would recommend wiring to ignition switch as pumps tend to draw so amps. Mine was done by a previous owner, but they removed mechanical and replaced with a plate and the bracket for the electric pump."
