"yea im an idiot, i was in a rage after being in the water pushing my boat from rocks, that i took off the alternator and forgot which of the 3 wires went where, i cant find schematics anywhere. its a 1996 volvopenta 5.8 ford block help please"

"Not sure of your installation; but if you are talking of 3 wires and a Valeo alternator, normally the red or orange thicker wire goes to the B(+); the black to the B(-) and the purple or dark brown (normally with with a resistor and a female/male prong connection) goes to the D + terminal."
